Leah and Ben always knew adoption would be a way they would build their family. After doors kept closing with international adoption, they decided to begin the process of a domestic infant adoption. They were chosen by a birth mother and welcomed their daughter, Haven, in to their lives. After their experience, Leah decided to become an adoption consultant and became aware of a baby boy that needed a home because his placement had fallen through due to a potential heart condition. Leah and Ben decided to step in and soon brought home their son, Deacon - with a completely healthy heart! After this, they still felt the call to adopt again, but this time through foster care. Their daughter, Haven, would pray for a sister that was her age, but they reminded her that it may not happen. Much to their surprise, Havens prayers were answered, and Jordan joined their family. She is only a few months younger than her sister.

“I know as my kids grow to understand the magnitude of what a blessing this trip was to our family, they like my husband and I, will feel such gratefulness for the generosity of complete strangers who saw the value in serving and loving on adoptive families. We left our trip feeling closer as a family with lifelong memories that we will reflect on for years to come. Not only did our family have so much fun, but we saw firsthand how impactful generosity is. Some of our favorite memories included watching the sheer joy overcome our daughter Jordan's face when her favorite princess (Jasmine) waved and made a heart with her hands and pointed right at her. Or watching our son Deacon blush and giggle when Minnie Mouse blew him kisses. Or watching our daughter Haven bravely take on any ride. Seeing the joy and excitement through our children's eyes was simply the best! It was also amazing witnessing the Funding Love team and their children as they loved on our families and found delight in our family's joy. Funding Love truly understands the unique complexities that adoptive families face and they set aside time for our family to focus on joy, connection, and love at the happiest place on earth! You are doing an incredible job accomplishing your mission of celebrating adoptive families, strengthening their bonds, and creating lifelong memories for their families!”
